Teen Haters is the Lyttelton, NZ/Aotearoa based duo of Peter Wright and Helen Greenfield. 'Another Sunday' is their first release on a permanent format after a cdr and download only releases.
Guitarist Peter Wright is well known for his drone work crafting dark but achingly beautiful atmospheres. Cellist,synth player Helen Greenfield shares Peters love of reverb pedals and processing but with her cello in particular retains a gritty and and hands-on earthy timbre.
Over the course of 'Another Sunday' the tracks evolve from a dark evening pastoral drift to Penderecki level intensity before subsiding blissfully into the firmament.
A masterpiece of cosmic proportions.
